If Politicians have the courage, here’s what they can do

 Dear Mr. and Mrs. American Politician:

May I offer this solution to prevent future Aurora, Colorado or Chicago Murders related to the use of lethal bullets in guns.  Here’s what American Politicians can do, if they have the courage.

Propose that Citizens within their individual communities or counties be granted the right to vote their community free (dry) of lethal bullets.  Just like communities and counties have the right to vote their area free (dry) from having alcohol being sold, so should communities have the right to vote a ban on all lethal bullets being sold, owned or used. A FREE Lethal Bullet Exchange Program could be established to replace lethal bullets with nonlethal bullets.

The Second Amendment Right to bear arms would remain unchanged, but the number of senseless murders would drastically be reduced.  It’s easier for leaders to make excuses, rather than propose and implement solutions. We must demand leadership solves problems without excuses!

Where Is The Political Leadership I Voted For?

I plan to vote for change because almost every elected politician seems to have excuses or are busy playing political games while this country struggles with drought, unemployment, wild fires and mass shootings.  They refuse to solve problems or even listen to those of us who haven’t given up on trying to offering them solutions, while being ignored.  They lack common sense and work for the wealthy powerful elite, who are not financially hurting like the poor and middle class.  

I would like to offer a few of the solutions that can be implement by President Obama immediately and with the support of congress without one single waist of time meeting.

1. Cut the US Corporate and Business Tax rate by 50% in exchange for companies that increase their new hire by 25%.  For those who choose not to take advantage of the incentive, their tax rate will remain the same.

2. Plan, mobilize and construct a National High Speed Rail Transportation System within two months.  It would require employees be hired to work four shifts 24 /7 and everyone receives $10 per hour for 8 hours per day.  

1. Request Bill Gates and Warren Buffet provide 1 million dollars to every county in the US to fund start-up businesses that provide local products and services for that county and state (High Speed Rail Transportation System Supplies) and reward them with 10% equity in each business that receive funding.  Funding must be rewarded equally based on percentage of gender, race, and age of the county.
2. Implement a 3 year moratorium of home foreclosures.  No one should be allowed to lose their home during this recession for some, depression for millions of others.

These are simple solutions to Jump start the US Economy immediately, but unless “We The People” demand that our leadership lead, instead of provide excuses, then we will get what we deserve the government we get. I believe that America is capable of once again achieving great things with the right leadership who has the courage to ignore their political party, stop worrying about the next election and start solving the problems they were elected to solve.

Solutions To Three National Problems

I’m sadden by the fact that this country has a drought, which will increase food prices, power outages that places people’s lives at risk and wildfires burning out of control all over the country.

I have innovative solutions to solve all three of these problems. I’m posting on my Blog, because my attempts to share these solutions with political leaders have fallen on death ears. They are too busy running for re-election or playing politics to solve these problems or listen to those of us who want to offer solutions.

Today, July 2nd, my apartment complex had its power restored after a fallen tree was removed.  It was hot and miserable over the weekend.  As a social worker, I am concerned about the health and well being of those still at risk of the high temperatures, loss of food and medications.  It seems that every year, we remain at the mercy of the weather and power companies. Nationally, it was estimated that 2 million people were without power.  This is unacceptable, therefore I will offer a solution for getting electricity restored in every community within 24 hours. I also have an innovative invention idea for a generator that will supply backup power during any power outage without requiring gas, diesel, wind or solar power.

Solution: Each community should recruit and pay to have five teams of three people (15 People) to be trained by the local power company to safely remove trees and restore power within their community.  Each community should vote to pay an additional $5 property tax and a $0.50 Monthly Utility Tax, which would only be used to train people who live in our community and ensure that they have a contractual obligation to work to restore the power of the community that paid for their training first. They would be allowed to serve other community for a fee paid to the community that trained them. The taxes and fees will be used to purchase, maintain and store utility trucks, uniforms, equipment, initial and annual training and certification and a monthly allowance. This would allow utility companies to focus on the major grid problems, while communities have their power restored within 24 hours, no matter how severe the storm. This is a simple solution that can be refined, improved and implemented, if demanded by citizens tired of suffering through power outages. 

With unemployment at record levels, this initiative would make a difference in many communities. When compared to losses suffered by businesses, this is a feasible and cost effective solution.  I’ve tried to offer innovative job creation, wildfire extinguishing, renewable energy and national transportation solutions to President Obama’s Administration, governors and mayors, who seem only to be interested in getting re-elected or pay-to-play deals. We The People can solve some of our own problems and we must demand leadership that solves problems without Excuses!  

Action Step: Contact your state, county, city and local community leadership and request that your community be granted the right to implement this idea. Contact your local Power Company Headquarters and request their participation.  I welcome your comments.
